    I was attached to the directorate of system operation and power management and was based at Mangu Substation. During the attachment, I was assigned and involved in the following activities: Roles of different Substation equipment e.g. Circuit Breakers, Disconnectors, Current Transformers, Voltage Transformers and Line Traps, etc. SF6 gas analysis and the set points for different components of SF6 gas.  Interpretation of relay LEDs and HMI activity logs.  The need to test transformer oil and bushing insulation resistance, as well as practical exposure on how test breakdown voltage of transformers. Insulation resistance measurement of equipment using Megger insulation resistance. The role of earthing at a substation and types of earthing. I was exposed to practical measurement of earth resistance using an earth resistance tester. Overall overview and understanding of Mangu Substation. Voltage levels at Mangu Substation  Transmission line inspection and repair and fabrication of members.
