Collaborated extensively with corporate accounting, brokerage accounting peers and IT departments.  Dramatically improved the closing process (from 7 days to 1 day) resulting in month-end closing meetings on the 1st business day of the month.  Implemented SOX by documenting all internal controls related to the accurate and timely reconciliation of accounts and sub systems. Improved the audit rating of the department to the highest level by upgrading the reconciliation process to the highest brokerage standards.
