    Jonathan Krause co-founded Class 5 Global in 2018. He serves on the management committee and as the company's COO based in San Francisco and New York. Jonathan focuses on the firm’s operational and legal activities. His responsibilities include deal structuring, negotiation and due diligence, as well as regulatory compliance and risk management related to Class 5's venture capital activities.Moreover, Jonathan is an invaluable resource to Class 5’s portfolio companies, offering them persistent guidance on a host of unique legal challenges facing today’s leading tech companies, from cross-border M&A and joint ventures to day-to-day operational matters such as management compensation, tax considerations and creating board and shareholder alignment. Having spent his legal career counseling clients at every stage of the corporate life cycle, Jonathan is an ever-ready source of veteran experience for Class 5 Global-backed companies, co-investors and LPs evaluating early-stage investments through preparation for acquisition and public offerings.Jonathan also continues to serve on the management committee of Lumia Capital 2014 Management, LP, and assists with oversight of its various funds' respective portfolio company investments.Prior to joining Lumia, Jonathan spent seven years in corporate law in New York concentrating his practice on venture capital financing, securities law, corporate governance and M&A. Most recently, Jonathan was a member of the corporate department at Pepper Hamilton LLP where he served as a trusted counselor to early stage and middle market tech companies. Earlier in his career, Jonathan practiced in the corporate and securities group of Orrick, Herrington and Sutcliffe LLP in New York.Jonathan received a B.A. in History from Brandeis University and earned his J.D. from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law. He is a member of the New York State Bar and also received an L.L.M. in Taxation from New York University School of Law in 2010.
