    I was part of a team of analysts that offered consulting services on large Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) projects. We offered specialized assistance for production support, functional enhancements, and architectural changes to an organization’s current package. My involvement in client projects included:• Assisting the support and development of a worldwide, customized order management, shipping, and warehouse management system at Advanced Micro Devices, Incorporated. Their system databases were unusual in that they resided locally in six warehouse facilities on three continents and yet their business included real-time synchronization among the distributed facilities.• Installing a warehouse tracking and scanning system for Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corporation. My responsibilities included warehouse on-site visits to determine hardware requirements, employee interviews to understand the workers’ union, coding and developing of interfacing software, and training for workers/employees.• Providing system software assistance to Tropicana Dole Beverages North America to accommodate the $240 million business acquisition of Dole Juices. My assistance required an understanding of interfaces across seven platforms to determine the system enhancements necessary for the acquisition. My functional focus included order management, product manufacturing and distribution, warehouse management, billing, credit checking, pricing/promotions, accounts receivable, and EDI order entry/billing.

    I was part of the systems installation service line, starting as a programmer and later promoted to an analyst. My client projects included:• Serving as lead analyst for the customer and vendor returns team on a large Distribution Control System (DCS) installation for Tech Data Corporation. My responsibilities included developing and designing a Visual Basic GUI returns application (with a mainframe back-end), system testing, and training users in the features of the new system.• Re-engineering the sales order entry department at Tupperware, Inc. to increase productivity and yield cost savings. Later, my re-engineering experience was applied as an analyst for Tupperware’s unusual pricing strategies (centered around hostess-sponsored party sales).• Coding and testing modules for a custom maintenance and rebuild system for Delta Airlines. My modules were mostly within the Engineering Application group as well as conversion routines to convert engine specifications and bills of material from dBASE to VSAM. I wrapped up my contribution by coding and testing specialized functionality that tracked flight time on 1000+ jet parts, instruments, and engine components to forecast and schedule maintenance for the planes.
