    Co-founder, marketing and brand manager at Aztec Brewing Company—a San Diego County based micro-brewery that manufactures craft beer and distributes though out Southern California, New York and Mexico. Aztec has 5 core brands which are sold in 22 oz bottles to off-premise retailers including BevMo, Whole Foods, Sprouts, Total Wine and more. It also sells seasonal and specialty brands of beer in kegs to on premise locations such as restaurants and bars.The Aztec Brewing Company is a classic San Diego prohibition era brand which has been reintroduced as a contemporary micro-brewery with ties to a historic past. Originally established in 1921 in Mexicali, Mexico, the brewery relocated to San Diego in 1933 after the repeal of prohibition. It was once the third largest brewery in the Western United States with a capacity of 200,000 bbls annually. In 1953 the brand was abandoned after the brewery was purchased by the Altes Brewing Company of Michigan. Along with my partners, I set out to resurrect the Aztec Brewery brand in 2008. My responsibilities include management of trademarks and brands as well as oversight of sales, distribution, promotions, social media and marketing. Developed photography, illustrations, designs, and art for: web site, advertising, social media, brochures, sales collateral, point of sale materials, packaging and labels, distributor support materials, signs, displays, presentations for investors and retail accounts, interior design and graphics for tasting room/retail outlet and branded merchandise.

    The North County Times was a local daily Newspaper serving Northern San Diego County. It was purchased by and merged into the San Diego Union Tribune in 2012. I worked as a freelance contributor and created weekly editorial cartoon for the Sunday Perspective Section. My task was to conceptualize and illustrate weekly cartoons covering local topics.
