    I founded Mentor Capital Management Inc. with the belief that the only way for consumers to receive objective, expert advice about their finances is on a fee-only basis. On that belief I have built a thriving financial planning and investment advisory business that has a major presence in Elmhurst, Illinois. With more than $56 million under management and close to 100 clients, Mentor Capital and its two professional advisors engage in comprehensive financial planning: Income tax planning, cash flow management, retirement planning, estate planning and investment management. As president of the company, I set procedures for client acquisition and engagement. I also serve as the company's Chief Compliance Officer.
