    Most recently led a team of 9 claim professionals handling 2600 Workers’ Compensation Benefit Management claims. These are lifetime exposure claims for the States of New York, New Jersey and Connecticut that were specialized in my team. The claims came to our team when settlement strategies failed or were exhausted at the field level. These are generally high severity claims (paralysis, head injury, failed backs, failed joints and various forms of chronic pain). Total loss dollars managed within the inventory was in excess of $1 Billion. I became an expert in large loss medical and litigation management which included pharmacy management (heavy opioid), overcoming Medicare barriers and settlement and/or mitigation strategies. I focused my efforts in proactive customer service, technical support of team, along with performance management, coaching, skill development, quality assurance of product, and compliance to all regulatory requirements. Frequent customer and business partner communication on strategy and financial impact. Prior roles included Unit Manager of a traditional Workers’ Compensation claim team which focused on new and existing loss management.

    Responsible for training, development and performance management of a 10 member claim team with total inventory of approximately 1500 All Lines claims (Auto, Property, General Liability and Workers’ Compensation). Duties included following all cases on diary to ensure proper compliance with Company claim handling standards, presenting national account claim reviews and preparing various production reports to management in a customer focused high production environment. Prior role included All Lines Claim Adjuster for the first 4 years prior to promotion to Claim Supervisor.
