    I worked in HISD at the time that the sixth graders were still in the elementary schools.I did my student teaching at Lockhart Elementary where TSU partnership with Lockhart and Turner elementary school for elementary education major to complete their student teaching within the community the the university was located. I taught a 6th grade advance placement class at Lockhart my second year and ended my teaching carreer at River Oak Elem. with a major work/advance placement 6th grade class of student all very levels of learning and all at higher levels that the average student. This was a very enjoyable teaching and learning experiment for me as well as the students, their parents and family members, my co-workers as we developed as very meaning relationship that is still on-going
