I learned the business of growing up in a place where everyone cared for there coworkers. I learned from my farther to do a job and do it the best I could or don't do it at all.The great people who drove the business teaching you how to fix problems so they would not come back to hurt you. Nurturing the young men and women to be better people which in turn makes better workers.I still today 2014, work with 2 people who I first met in 1969 at Alexander Paper Co.The best supplier of pattern papers to the sewn industry . Innovators of Alexandrite disposable clicker pads still being used today. The only company in the world to supply Red Wax Template papers to the metal fabrication industry. We began paper converting which I was involved in as the plant superintendent. Learning the paper trade and converting of many grades of industrial papers still used today. Understanding rewinding equipment and its relevance to the growth of our business. I bought and had machines rebuilt to our needs. Some still in operation today at local paper companies in Philadelphia. Learned to find cost from start to finish in converting mill rolls of paper to finished counter rolls with all labor and converting supplies used so we could show true cost. A great learning experience for me tools that I still use today.
