My experience in representing clients in the criminal area includes traffic, misdemeanor, and felony cases. In the area of civil litigation I have represented clients in the areas of family law, contract and business matters, and personal injury.As an attorney I help clients navigate, or litigate, through problematic situations, as well as assist them in reality checking and reaching their goals. My passion has been to provide counsel and guidance which brings people through their current situations with confidence, and further provides them with practical knowledge that is helpful in dealing with future situations. A common challenge that most attorneys deal with is assisting clients that are just NOT having a great day, for whatever reason. You are sought out, most of the time hesitantly, to help deal with a problem that someone can no longer deal with on their own. As often as not, the problem is self inflicted. As you can imagine, this is not a situation which lends itself to a large comfort zone. It is important to me that my clients know that I care and will do my best to improve their situation.As an attorney since1981, I have found myself saying on more than one occasion, "God watches out for infants and idiots....the rest of you had better get a good lawyer."As a part-time judge I have had the opportunity to engage in what I would refer to as "the pure practice of law". My concerns as a judge have always been to administer justice appropriate to the individuals and circumstances before me.In my capacity as a public speaker and coach, I have always urged "Seek justice...but more importantly, seek to be just."
