John C. Crotts, Ph. D., is a Professor and Director/Chair of the School of Travel Industry Management, Shidler College of Business at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. His research encompasses the areas of economic psychology, tourism marketing and sales strategy, and management of cooperative alliances. John received his PhD in Leisure Studies and Services from the University of Oregon in 1989. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Appalachian State University, a M.S. in Experiential Education from Mankato State University, and an Ed.S. in Adult Education/Higher Education Administration from the Appalachian State University.
