    Cascades is a major Canadian manufacturer of paper products including corrugate, tissue, paperboard packaging and paper recycling. Held 2 different positions with the company as the General Manager of the Winnipeg plant and as Director of Innovation in Mississauga. Originally hired to turnaround the Winnipeg plant while it was in distress as part of Crown Packaging and had sustained losses over $5 million in the prior 2 years. Managed the business to consistent profitability and sales growth from $19.7 million in 1996 to over $50 million in 12 years.

    Winpak manufactures high barrier plastic films and laminates primarily for the food industry. Assumed responsibility for all aspects of production in a 7-day operation with 180 employees and sales of $80 million. The manufacturing processes involved extrusion, printing, laminating and converting into finished roll stock or pouches.
