    Responsibilities related to Research and Dev. projects involving structural analysis and fluid flow for offshore mining. The majority of the work is carried out using computer simulation software, which comprise of Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) codes that are utilised to evaluate new and existing marine mining tools. The structural analysis is mainly carried using the latest version of ABAQUS software (Simulia, Dassault Systeme's). Fluid flow related projects are simulated with the latest ANSYS multi-physics software.

    My employment was part of VWSA's Golf 4 export programme. My responsibilities included managing the fuel efficiency and emissions facility for the Quality Assurance Analysis department. I had close collaboration with the equivalent facilities in Wolfsburg (VW), Emden (VW) and Ingolstadt (Audi) where I also worked and received my training.The facility was also involved with development of local VW models as well as other vehicle manufacturer testing and development projects.
