Transformed the library from a physical, analog collection to a growing and viable digital archive. Restructured workflow to accomplish necessary tasks with smaller staff.

Administered Film/Video Library and Archives with responsibilities including planning, budgeting, hiring. Initiated project, developed, and implemented News Rights & Clearances and Permissions departments; hired professional specialists and attorneys in those areas. Successfully centralized those activities in order to exert control over use of outside intellectual property as well as over ABC News property. Effected a sea change in the attitude and responsibilities of News producers toward all intellectual property and copyright.Campaigned for, then worked on a small team which planned and built an in-house 18,000 sq foot Library storage facility in an ABC building close to the production center, resulting in lower costs and quicker access. Additionally, this modern climate-controlled facility furthered preservation as well as workflow development efforts.As part of this same initiative and small team, campaigned to bring News footage sales in house for the first time in 30 years--then researched, planned and opened ABC News VideoSource--one of the premiere News footage licensing agencies worldwide.
