Developed and used Computational Fluid Dynamics programs for the design andanalysis of the unsteady flow in pulsed lasers. Developed a 2-D sharp shock-capturingscheme for the resolution of the acoustic waves present in pulsed laser cavities.Developed a transient 2-D computer program for predicting and compensating forthermal blooming effects during laser beam propagation through the atmosphere.Developed a computer program for determining the location and ocean surface areacovered by a ground based laser beam reflected off a satellite.Applied 3-D finite element codes obtained from Lawrence Livermore Laboratories forcalculation of heat transfer from laser devices.Developed a computer program for the modeling of an acoustic wave pump.Supervised the work of computer scientists involved in the development of these codes.Prepared and presented technical reports to management and customers as necessary.
