Project Executive/ Consultant/ Strategy Leader
-
Dec 1997 - Jul 2007
IBM (1997 – 2007) Joined the firm to lead strategy development on their largest outsourcing account. This evolved into a Project Executive role supporting services to the client's R & D and international communities. I then relocated to Atlanta to be IBM’s Consulting Principal for two major accounts where I was successful in selling and implementing large complex systems integration projects. My last IBM position was in leading strategy, business planning and business performance analysis for the US portion of their $1.4B Global Technology Services business unit. I did an early retirement but am now in 2009 seeking to return to the work force using my acquired skills and experience.

Held many positions in finance, training, marketing and business development. Started as a first level technical editor in 1975 and worked my way up to Vice President & General Manager for Virginia and West Virginia in 1996. Some highlights of my AT&T career were seting company records for new consumer customer acquisitions (1 million+ per month), helping AT&T form its systems integration business, representing the firm in major automation planning meetings with senior officers of Fortune 50 companies and coordinating the development of a long term consumer communications service vision, outlining both defensive and offensive diversification opportunities.
