Manages the day-to-day operations of the Office of the Humanities Area Instructional Dean providing a wide variety of administrative duties. Assist the Dean in the execution of various duties. Serves as the front-line representative and liaison of the Dean’s office and instructional area directly supporting the Instructional Dean who works closely with college-wide Vice-President/Provosts, instructional deans, department chairs, faculty, staff and students, governance groups, advisory committees, as well as various external and internal committee members, and many college and campus directors as well as educational and community leaders. Provide supervision to the area administrative aides as needed in reference to alternate ESH, budget, accounts, assuring accuracy in terms of accounts charged, adjuncts’ rate of pay, etc. Oversee faculty advancement in rank, etc. Responsible for preparing “Contracts Signed under Sub-delegation” and alternate ESH reports and other reports as requested by the VP/Provost area. Serves as technology representative for the area in terms of working with support staff and processing paperwork for hardware and software requests. I assist executive associate and administrative aides as needed on procedural matters, advancement in rank, faculty evaluations, various forms and related distribution, contact persons, etc. Communicate with others throughout the College to arrange schedules, meetings, and to relay or obtain information; or, to pass on instructions and information about events, professional development opportunities and matters requiring attention.
