CSM Bakery Supplies, a division of CSM, offers a full line of ingredients and bakery products. Jim reported to the President/CEO to build and lead various sales channels. Responsibilities included delivering increased sustainable profitable sales to food service distributors, bakery distributors, industrial bakeries, hospitals, mass feeders, ISB and food service chains. • Led a cross-functional leadership team that landed a $30 million account that CSM had not been able to land for many years• Co-led reorganization of the sales teams into channels • Co-led sales teams through four large integrations• Reduced FTE 3 times without losing sales volume• Was subsequently asked by the CEO to head up a special project on commercial costing and pricing the past 12 months.• Project included leading a team of 2 Directors, 3 Senior Financial Analyst’s and 3 Financial Analyst’s to analyze customers by SKU.• Guided sales in margin management by customer by SKU • Anticipated market fluctuations to capture additional margin • Helped establish what price the market would bear • Developed tools and programs to simplify and automate data which increased the quality and agility of responding to and winning RFPs

After graduating from EIU, Jim started working at the fast growing bakery and after training in each department was promoted to Plant Supervisor responsible for the 150 union team members producing rolls, bread, cake, sweet dough, Danish and doughnuts. • Completed AIB training, • Started baking technology training for plant personnel, • Increased productivity on the sweet dough/Danish line by 300%.
