As marketing chief, I am responsible for all aspects of internal and external marketing communications for Marine Corps Community Services Okinawa, which supports eight Marine Corps Installations Pacific/Marine Corps Base Camp S.D. Butler installations on Okinawa, as well as Combined Arms Training Center Camp Fuji in mainland Japan and Camp Mujuk in the Republic of Korea. In addition to developing and implementing strategic marketing initiatives for family and MWR programs region-wide, I supervise the marketing account management and planning process, marketing strategy development, and advertising support for MCCS Okinawa and its family and MWR activities. I provide thought leadership and counsel to branch chiefs for marketing communications, special events and promotions, marketing research and analysis, creative services and web marketing, social media, corporate sponsorship and advertising sales, all to ensure the effective execution of overall marketing processes and initiatives while serving as MCCS Okinawa’s principal brand champion and senior communicator.
