    From script to screen and everything in between. Execam is a full production company and I run it and do bits of all of it! Freelance staff provide much of the expertise, and I manage, encourage, and Direct. Directing is my key role but I have been known to sling a camera on my shoulder, and certainly doing a lot of editing at the moment!

    I was responsible for a staff of 25 so really had to develop management skills! Still got to do some reporting and a lot of training and mentoring. Managing the day's output was the key role.

    I was a network reporter starting in the energy field during the days of Think Big, then moved into the Press Gallery where I covered the 1984 election campaign, reporting on David Lange's successful bid to become PM. Moved into Eyewitness News....the premiere current affairs programme of its day with stints as lead reporter for Olympics and Commonwealth games in LA, Seoul, and Auckland.
