    Took over role as Director Operations for Qualcomm Taiwan after CSR was acquired in 2015. The Taiwan operations region accounts for the majority of Qualcomm's manufacturing supply chain and the Operations team based in Hsinchu covers the full range of supplier engineering support activities including Foundry, Product, Packaging, Test, Quality and Reliability. Supports Qualcomm's manufacturing in every major wafer and back-end services supplier in Taiwan, and interfaces with other Qualcomm support groups across the Asia Region (Korea, China, Singapore) as well as head offices in San Diego (US), San Jose (US) and Cambridge (UK).

    Based in Jhongli, Taiwan (approx 50km south of Taipei). Built the Operations Support infrastructure in the region. Office was responsible for Supplier Management in the APAC region and supported all the manufacturing for a 1 billion dollar fabless businessJoined Cambridge Silicon Radio in Cambridge UK as BGA/QFN Products Group Leader, responsible for 4 Engineers supporting yield improvement and NPI for CSR's Bluetooth product line. I carried out this role for 16 months after which I moved to Taiwan in Jan 2008 to develop and grow the Operations support office in Jhongli. The office started with 5 personnel and grew to 14 members; 6 in Engineering, 7 in Planning & Logistics and 1 Office Admin. We managed all our suppliers in Taiwan (TSMC and ASE), covering 2 assembly & test factories and 5 wafer fabs. We were responsible for the management of our supply chain, ensuring all OTD, Cycle Time, Yield and Quality targets were met or exceeded. In August 2015 CSR was acquired by Qualcomm Technology International Ltd.

    After a 3 year break from the industry during which I obtained a PGCE and taught Design and Technology in a Wiltshire Secondary School, I joined Bookham as Test Manager in their manufacturing site at the previous Plessey Caswell Research Centre. Responsible for re-organising the existing GaAs test operation to enable volume testing of Indium Phosphide semiconductor laser products.
