Provided leadership and organizational management for board of directors including: financial planning and oversight, record keeping, strategic planning, and program development and policy development. * Developed and implemented policies and procedures and in accordance with Accreditation Standards set by the Land Trust Accreditation Commission. Received accreditation in 2013. * Wrote proposals for grant applications. With approximately a 75% success rate, received funding for 21 projects totaling $235,000 in 7 years. *Implemented a professionally managed investment plan which built the land stewardship endowment through both donations and sound investment from $95,000 in 2006 to $350,000 in 2013. *Doubled protected land in 7 years to over 2700 acres through donations of easements and fee parcels. *Initiated a strategic land acquisition plan for four priority areas. As a result of the plan, a major initiative is being developed for a regional land protection effort with support for other land trusts and numerous volunteers. *Managed all phases of land and easement acquisitions, including initial landowner contact, property assessments and inspections, coordination with attorneys, closing, and filing and recording documents. *Served as MHLC spokesperson and liaison with other organizations, municipalities, members, and media. Planned and managed events including Annual Gala, Summer Solstice on the Rail Trail, and Awards Dinner. *Supervised two part-time staff members and worked with numerous volunteers.
