At the moment, I am allocated to the mechanical and railway maintenance project at the Mozal factory, in Matola, Mozambique.My responsibilities include (but not limited to):• Develop a profitable business unit in mechanical maintenance based in Maputo;• Consolidate the railway maintenance project at Mozal by supervising, developing and planning the activities within the scope of work;• Coordinate technical and production matters with the production director;• Structure the mechanical maintenance business with a national vision in the following areas: NDT inspection of tanks, piping and welding (Ultrasound, X-ray); Corrosion and thickness control in steel sheets using ultrasound; Washing and cleaning fuel tanks; Pump and valve maintenance (including pressure testing and calibration); Painting of metal structures, welding, metalwork and maintenance of cranes (rails and structures); and Supply of various materials;• Create a database of specialized workers and small companies in the area of mechanical maintenance.
