      'Cheveux Noirs' is an online platform on Facebook for ladies with Afro-Caribbean hair in Lusaka who struggle to find a place to get their hair done, whether it is weave, braids or relaxing. In November 2014, I established this platform to gain more clients and also for the benefit of students and other customers who find it challenging to get their hair done in Canterbury at an affordable price. With the assistance of Lucy's knowledge of social media marketing, the idea of creating a group on Facebook was born and together we invited all the female students from our Facebook profiles as a foundation for this new venture. I guided her through my vision for this project and after looking at a range of ideas, came up with the name 'Cheveux Noirs' which in English means 'Black hair'. It is unique and directly linked to the service being provided. A simple header was chosen to start-up the project and final touches were made before launching the group page publicly on Facebook. I have gained so many clients since this platform was launched and I am pleased with the future prospects of this initiative.In February 2015, we will be working on re-branding and thinking of strategies for marketing and advertisement for the University of Kent Freshers Fayre in September 2015.
