    Currently leading the project using iPSC-derived cardiomyocytes to evaluate the pathogenicity of a MYH14 knockout in causing hypertrophic cardiomyopathy.- Introduced induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC) culture - Established a working cell culture maintenance system - Developed working cardiomyocyte differentiation protocol - Designed and checked the quality of CRISPR guide RNAs and cloned the guide RNAs into mammalian cell expression vectors- Expressed the vectors carrying cas9 protein and guide RNA in HEK 293 cells for validation- Established CRISPR/cas9 editing parameters for iPSC gene editing- Purified DNA from cells and performed PCR analysis by gel extraction and Sanger sequencing- Mentored undergraduate students
