    My role with Community House Mid Canterbury covered two areas. My first responsibility was as the morning receptionist of our facility, greeting clients of tenants, management of all enquiries, room hire and van bookings. Alongside these responsibilities, I also provided PA support to the manager, with reporting and funding applications, and acting on his behalf in times of leave. The marketing and promotion part of my role included creating and implementing community events, funding drives, creating leads through our website, social media, and marketing collateral, among other initiatives and opportunities as they arose. Examples include 25 years of CHMC, which involved compiling the history and milestones of those 25 years, and a commemorative ceramic tumbler with a well-known ceramic artist to celebrate the milestone.

    The primary purpose of my role at Midlands was to increase the business activity of the MNOL range by prospecting for new business opportunities across domestic and international markets and to increase sales activity from current customers and clients. Key responsibilities included; the development of annual Sales and Marketing Strategies, growing markets and market shares both domestically and internationally, implementing operating systems and structures to maximise sales opportunities and generating annual budgets. In addition, providing financial forecasting and monitoring reports ensuring targets were being met or exceeded. I left this position to start a family with the arrival of our daughter Chloe.

I enjoyed being able to inspire, challenge and lead my team of young women by driving sales results; constantly trying to achieve and exceed our stores set KPI‘s. Crucial parts of my position were to roster for success; recruit and select like-minded team members; manage and maintain stock, stock takes, loss prevention and visual merchandising standards and to analyse and report on store performance to senior management.
