Managed IT development projects for retail operations at AT&T Mobility utilizing AT&T’s IT Unified Process (IT UP) project management methodology. Responsibilities included project planning, scheduling, requirements gathering, scope management, risk and issue management, budget analysis (estimates vs. actuals), status reporting, and deliverable standards. Systematically coordinated efforts with the business client, requirements engineers, application designers, technical architects, developers, testing teams and release management to ensure delivery of the designed business functionality while meeting release level milestone dates. Have managed projects with budgets up to $3 million. • Completed projects for AT&T Mobility company owned retail (COR) store locations which included: • Driver’s License ID project that deployed scanning functionality for new wireless activations in order to capture confidential consumer information and prevent fraud. Directed multiple timelines for the various solution components spanning POS software modifications, third party package installation, hardware deployment of Windows Servers, dongles, bar code scanners, and signature capture devices for all U.S. store locations. The project was highlighted in AT&T Mobility IT newsletter. • Access Restriction Project to eliminate manual authorization mode for credit card transactions, which the business projected will reduce fraud on high end handsets by approximately $1.3 million per year. • Customer Information Project to automate sending customers a device tutorial email for a purchased handsets. The functionality also captured current customer email address to facilitate marketing of additional products and services. • Subject matter expert on the IT UP methodology. • Have mentored project managers on IT UP as well as the management of project estimates and financials. • Achieved 100% compliance scores for all four projects that were selected for SQA audits.

This process substantially reduced production errors while adhering to the client-defined migration path. Enhanced the UAT workflow process that facilitated more comprehensive and thorough end user testing of system designs and reports.

The project consisted of 75 unique interface programs that were built over a ten-month duration by a team of six developers. Conducted requirements analysis meetings for the State, commercial vendors and cross-functional team leads. Defined project scope, workplan and risk management plan. Directed development, project plan, program specifications, coding, unit testing, code reviews for quality assurance purposes, system testing, UAT utilizing TestDirector. Production turnover, systems documentation, implementation, post-implementation support. Managed the reengineering of high volume interfaces that resulted in the reduction of system resource utilization by over 80% and minimized DB2 contention. Worked with representatives of four different vendors to standardize their member extracts onto one format. This reduced program development time by 45 days.
