I'm often tagged for projects that require a deep understanding of the Chevrolet brand and what a unique role it has played in world transportation history, based on my experiences in writing three books involving the Chevrolet brand.

These projects range from lifecycle communications to retail offers, all of which play a vital role in promoting the sales of GM products.

As an editor for the custom publishing subsidiary of Campbell-Ewald advertising, the Aegis Group, I launched Corvette Quarterly, a 250,000 circulation magazine for Corvette owners and prospects, and remained as editor of the publication until 1996. I also edited Friends Magazine, the Chevy owners magazine and Vista USA, a magazine for members of the Exxon Travel Club. I was also involved in many of the new business pitches that allowed Aegis to grow to become one of the largest custom publishers in the United States.

As a senior copywriter on the Chevy account, I developed the award-winning "Heartbeat of America" themeline for Chevrolet and was intimately involved in the creation of this award-winning national campaign. I also created performance car and race-win advertising for both television and print. I was involved in the industry's first instant race win television ad at the 1988 Indy 500.

As a public relations account executive, I developed publicity campaigns for Nissan Motorsports and Pioneer electronics, which sponsored celebrities like Paul Newman and Shirley Muldowney. I also supported Nissan's efforts in the IMSA Camel GT series and SCORE offroad series in addition to launching the Nissan Sentra compact sedan.
