Head Hunted for this key development position to bring commercial focus back to the business and lead recovery activity for this £3.1m turnover Danaher Corporation subsidiary. Secured major OE and distribution customers by building personal relationships and ensuring promises were met to arrest sales decline and provide firm financial foundations for growth. Rebuilt marketing and customer relationship activities; including strong attendance at trade shows and exhibitions, launching a new website and releasing a range of sales support literature to ensure our product range was positively positioned and sales prospects maximised. Introduced 'Lean' principles into sales and commercial environments, in particular I used the '4 -Step' sales programme and 'Standard work' to improve enquiry generation and conversion rates. Used 'KPI' tools and '5 Why' techniques to focus the commercial and manufacturing team on activities to improve on time delivery to 97%.without increase in finished goods stock.

Rejoined the BGi Group to lead this £2.5m t/o niche manufacturer of lighting systems for premium brand vehicles. Worked with the manufacturing team, customers and vendors to significantly reduce delivery problems (improved OTD from 65% to 97%) and improve quality by reducing defects from 8000ppm to 700ppm. In addition to securing the Group Lotus contract I oversaw the introduction of the Ferrari 612 xenon headlamp into production, a UK First for this prestige car maker. Led negotiations with banks and other institutions to re finance the business and reduce indebtedness, moving from debenture lending to invoice discounting.
