Responsibility for the Functional and Integration testing and repairs of all Satellite, Microwave Communication and Digital Circuitries. Products included power control boards - digital and radio, traffic light control systems, medical devices, GPS communications, Wireless security systems and Microwave communication equipments. Such as Harris Stratex DXR 200,DXR 700 and Harris Stratex Eclipse system. Companies included Clipsal, Tyco, Neuromonics, NEC, UHS, Harris Stratex in USA and DMC (Digital Microwave Corporation) in NZ.; Receive debrief from morning shift as to the status of targets reached and production issues. Lead a team of up to 4 technicians in relation to the board testing and repairs of high end technology products. Undertake hands on testing of products using software such as Labview and HP equipment such as Spectrum Analysers, Oscilloscopes, Digital Multimeters and Signal Generators.Maintain computerised fault logging system updating fault/location information. Sign off product to move to QC stage or failing initial testing product moves through to repair stage. Utilise SAP software to check production schedule, to access relevant Stores part information and to extract instructional/ECO documents etc. Uphold responsibility for Stores Department in the Afternoon. Advise management of technical issues which have impacted on the completion of the current shift testing and targets. Produce end of day fault report for IT department to enter to system. Perform as First Aid Officer and write required Accident Reports for HRM Department.Represent Testing department on The OHS Committee on a monthly basis, relaying and delivering safety information as required. Produce production summary for oncoming Day Shift Crew. Attend to relevant cleaning and housekeeping at end of shift. Shutdown machines following shift and secure site buildings.
