Additionally, I had the following responsibilities:Worked extensively with Dimension Data's global NI counterparts to determine the global NI strategy.Created and executed the NI strategy within the South African Market and across the MEA region.Led a management team covering Sales & Marketing, Sales Support, Business Development, PreSales and Operational Services.Managed industry analyst and press liaison.Worked closely with vendors to set targets and execution plans.As a result of my efforts, I was nominated for the General Manager of the Year award. During my tenure, the NI business was the largest business unit in the Dimension Data brand and was seen as a core element of the brand.

As the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) within the business, I was responsible for developing the technology and solutions strategy, as well as overseeing operations including pre-sales, sales operations, and bid management.In this role, I worked closely with the leadership team to define the strategy and develop operational plans to ensure successful implementation. It was my responsibility to ensure that our business remained a leader in our field and a trusted advisor to our clients.A key operational component of my role was to align the delivery arm with the sales arm to ensure that we delivered on what was sold to our clients. One of my major projects during this time was the creation of a Cisco IP Telephony business from scratch, which went on to become a major profit contributor to the business. Our excellence in this area was recognized by Cisco, who named Dimension Data their #1 IPT partner for five consecutive years.I also received recognition for my performance in this role, receiving the General Manager's Award.

My professional journey began as a 4GL programmer, where I developed insurance systems on IBM mainframe using IDEAL/Datacom. I then transitioned to become a C programmer, contributing to the development of an early client-server insurance brokerage system.As the company purchased more PCs, I moved into the field of networking to provide local area connectivity. My expertise in networking soon led me to the role of Network Manager, where I was responsible for all non-mainframe connectivity.During my tenure as Network Manager, I led the implementation of the first IP networks at both the WAN and LAN level, enabling the company to connect to the Internet and deploy the first e-mail systems. I also connected the mainframe to the IP network and played a crucial role in deploying early imaging and workflow systems.Furthermore, I was involved in the implementation of Oracle Financials, which further enhanced the company's financial operations. Through my experiences, I have honed my skills in programming, networking, and systems implementation, and have proven my ability to contribute to organizational growth and success.
