As founder of a small boutique advertising/marketing agency, my team created a broad spectrum of campaigns and events for primarily cutting-edge and established tech corporations. While we were mostly engaged in corporate identity and brand awareness for our clients, the highlight was our design firm being chosen as exclusive event design contractor for IBM Corporation in 1983. On May 5, 1988, our 4-person team threw a party for 45,000 employees and families, IBM executives from over the globe, and VIPs at their chip manufacturing plant in Winooski, VT. We handled every facet of the event, concept to completion. From theme to logo design, talent management, exterior and interior signage, booking transportation for hundreds of attendees, design and production of eight installed murals (still mounted), to booking a tram from Canada to transport guests around the 950,000 sq. ft. facility in comfort. It was truly an unforgettable experience and an honor to serve an amazing, iconic corporation. An this was all before laptops, cell phones, digital graphics and online registration.
