    I lead the editorial content for www.evtolinsights.com, one of the leading news sources in the growing eVTOL (electric vertical take-off and landing) aircraft and urban air mobility markets. As well as updating and maintaining the website with daily news, I'm responsible for uploading content with SEO to our social media channels and recording and editing short one-minute videos for our YouTube channel. I'm also tasked with sourcing key speakers from across the aerospace and aviation sectors to feature in our popular podcast series. I am a member of the Vertical Flight Society's eVTOL Writers' Group and moderated key discussions with industry speakers across the ecosystem and in January 2020, I researched, planned and wrote the first annual edition of the eVTOL Insights Power Book - a definitive list of the industry's leaders, innovators and influencers. My main responsibilities include:Researching, sourcing and creating news stories, ensuring there is a daily flow of content uploaded to the websiteMonitoring all social media channels (Instagram, LinkedIn and Twitter) and drafting content which is uploaded each day, making sure it is relevant for the target audienceDeveloping close working relationships with senior aerospace and aviation expertsProactively searching for off-diary features and generating thought leadership pieces to pitch to manufacturers and other companies working within the eVTOL and urban air mobility market

    I joined the newspaper as a trainee reporter after successfully completing my pre-NCTJ qualifications and a work experience placement. I undertook a two-year programme to build up my logbook - which consisted of topics such as education, politics, crime and human interest. I successfully passed my senior NCE exam in November 2013 which included news writing, interview and news report exams. I covered a series of serious stories including murder trials and breaking stories in Banbury, to interviewing British golfer Lee Westwood, entrepreneur Duncan Bannatyne and former Dire Straits member Chris White. My key tasks included:•Working effectively in a small team to deliver strict deadlines every day. •Conducting interviews, both in person and on the phone. •Building a comprehensive contacts list and develop working relationships with key people. •Thinking of effective ideas to help drive digital growth online and print sales. •Managing a busy news patch and bringing in off diary stories.
