Responsible for planning, coordination, and synchronization of Department of Defense and State activities in support of US Government and Mexican Armed Forces objectives and initiatives. Executed over $20 million dollars in military education and training, counter-drug, and multinational exercises.I oversaw border initiatives and training to reduce the flow of drugs into the U.S. This was a CBP and DoD joint venture, which brought law enforcement and military relationships (U.S. and Mexican) to an all-time high, especially in operations and communication. Served as the cultural advisor, interpreter, and aide to the Joint Land Component Commander (General Buchanan) during Hurricane Maria Humanitarian Assistance efforts (recovery operations) in Puerto Rico. Scheduled multiple high-level dialogues between FEMA, DoD, and Puerto Rico government officials in order to coordinate and expedite recovery efforts. One of the most rewarding moments of my career.

Managed and supervised the selection and execution of the Beyond the Horizon (BTH) exercise. BTH is an exercise/mission that provides U.S. and foreign partners the ability to build schools and provide medical services to impoverished communities in El Salvador and Latin America. I was responsible for selecting the most vulnerable areas and coordinating with USAID and health ministries to best support the execution of BTH. This exercise/mission provided multiple classrooms for three schools and medical services for over 3,000 El Salvadorean and Guatemalan citizens. During this year, my wife and I traveled to Mexico, Belize, Nicaragua, Honduras, Guatemala, Panama, Costa Rica, Colombia, Brazil, Suriname, Paraguay, Uruguay, Argentina, Ecuador, Peru, and Chile in order to expand our cultural understanding of the region.
