As the social media director for the Humble Bee Bakery & Cafe I post weekly on Facebook and Instagram in order to spread awareness of the seasonal menu items. I photograph the food with a sense of awe because head Chef James Bonnano constantly creates healthy and delicious original items such as the Panwich or the Farm Boy. As the service consultant I help train the staff on how to properly manage their time and stations while providing an experience that is more than just a good meal. A genuine greeting, efficient service, cleanliness, and a positive attitude is what I hope to instill in each trainee.

Located in the financial district of San Francisco, I held bar at one of the oldest steakhouses in city which opened their doors in 1928. I served my own bar top consisting of 10 seats as well as the restaurants drinks & cocktails five nights a week for five years. Over the years I was trusted with more responsibilities such as ordering liquor, managing the stock room, scheduling the bar staff, and developing unique craft cocktails.I am also the banquet manager and this position requires me to book large parties and respond to emails and calls. I started at this location as a server but in a short period of time learned how to bartend. This is where I learned pour counts, basic cocktails builds, and how to shake a cocktail with a smile. I learned that efficiency behind the bar is a skill set that I possess and utilize.As a bartender I worked all the busy shifts and developed a following of regulars. A normal shift consisted of serving the well for the restaurant a full bar at the same time. I feel like this job was when I first realized that I was capable of handling a lot all at once while still keeping a smile on my face.

This was my first job ever and it taught me the basics that many people take for granted. As a host and server I always listened to my general manager Mark Dion and learned such valuable lessons that I still utilize in the service industry today. California Pizza Kitchen taught me about service, about standards, and mainly about how to be a good person. Being around genuine people is crucial to any good work experience and I will never forget that.
