The Rhinos Are Coming!!!. Public Outdoor Art Exhibition Cape TownResearch began in 2014. First eight Rhinos were sponsored in 2016 by eight leading South African companies. Currently twenty Rhinos have been made, painted and exhibited at the V&A Waterfront. Seen and admired by thousands of visitors who takes hundreds and thousands of photos of themselves and their kids, all which spread awareness for companies’ brands, artists and their work, and the plight of South Africa’s of Rhinos.Janice Ashby is Founder & Programme Director of this public art initiative to raise funds to help secure a safer future for South Africa's rhinos. Rhinos are under siege due to unconscionable, cruel and deadly attacks upon their population by poachers. The Rhinos Are Coming!!! is a spectacular Public Outdoor Art Exhibition raising funds and spreading awareness for the plight of South Africa's rhinos . Artists from the community transform life size sculptures of rhinos into valuable contemporary works of art. Our goal is to expand the exhibition to have Rhinos exhibited throughout greater Cape Town on street corners, at tourist hubs such as top of Table Mountain and as far as Cape Point. Funds are donated to StopRhinoPoaching.com an organisation dedicated to supplying game reserves on the front line of rhino poaching with essential products and services such as ranger training, tracker doge, vehicles, ammunition, vehicles etc. 100% of the funds raised by StopRhinoPoaching.com goes to securing a safer future for our rhinos in the wild.
