We work to make knowledge visible. My focus as curator of the Art Collection is making art and culture a part of everyday life for staff, students and visitors, enabling exchanges between art, research and teaching. I do this through an active programme of events that improves access to art and inspires people to engage with it. They tell me that it enriches their lives. The tours, workshops, exhibitions and lectures attract visitors to the campus and deepen our links with the wider community. The art collection welcomes everyone into a creative environment, where creative thinking and creative acts are at the heart of our identity as a place of learning.

I retained the post of Interior Designer/Project Manager while also curating the University Art Collection, it allowed opportunities to input into the overall aesthetics on the campus. Hectic but effective. The Art collection includes paintings, prints, scuplture, photography, digital media and tapestry which is primarily housed in the Pathfoot Building. "probably the most beautiful, the most civilized, the most sensitive and intelligent piece of large scale modern architecture and planning that has been achieved in Scotland". David Baxandall, (1967) at the time the Director of the National Galleries of Scotland. But sculptures are on display throughout the campus and around the university loch and the collection is open to the public.
