Brought in as their Senior Operations Executive to correct deficiencies in their international operations and bring experience to the leadership team, I led the rebuilding of their supply chain after a contract manufacturer bankruptcy. We re-designed, re-documented, re-tooled, re-tested, re-released, and re-ramped 135 models of our products simultaneously to eight different suppliers around the world. I started with Loud during the recession and the CM collapse could not have been timed more poorly. Interruption in supply resulted in reduced revenue and we implemented staff reductions and other cost savings programs to survive. We (CEO, COO, and CFO) achieved a $30M reduction in the cash required to run the business and regained financial viability as the new supply chain came online. Part of our business improvements included significant enhancements to Loud's Oracle ERP installation and the development of sophisticated project management, inventory management and cash management tools.Due to intellectual property issues in the PRC, I drove a distribution re-design to provide late-point differentiation for our most popular products, as well as achieving significant changes and cost reductions in our overall global distribution processes. Loud Technologies is a professional music equipment company that brings cool products to market through the Mackie, Tapco, Ampeg, Crate, Alvarez, Blackheart, EAW, and Martin Audio brands. My COO role as their Senior Operations Executive was to facilitate company growth and profitability, oversee international operations and distribution, bring new products to market, manage their owned facilities, and drive their IT strategy and infrastructure.
