Joined Cosmo Energy as a part of the first technical staff to spearhead the management and growth of their mineral portfolio. Cosmo’s mineral portfolio consists of over 7000 net royalty acres and over 1500 wells. Responsible for the design and implementation of Cosmo’s royalty management protocol and systems architecture. This includes the original creation of the database and table structures designed to a granular level. This division of labor was necessary for Cosmo to maintain a competitive market edge and firm grasp on the financial health of the company.• Invented and maintained a database that consisted of revenue statements, joint interest billing statements, division orders, mineral ownership, monthly historical production, monthly production forecasts, oil and gas reserves, OCC apps and orders, working interest well data• Programmed software to view and utilize the database• Developed software for Cosmo to run decline curve analysis, type curve creation, economic forecasts, and upside scenarios capable of multi-formations and selective timing• Generated internal royalty management auditing procedures to ensure Cosmo’s mineral interests were fully accounted for • Prepared annual reserve report, using both Aries and in-house software, that was used for the first credit facility determination• Transitioned software and business interfaces to SQL database and Power BI• Utilized various analytical and data science techniques to automate, optimize, and analyze all aspects of the business on a continual basis
