Manage the finance, information systems and material management departments of UCLA’s Administrative Services with combined budgets of $190 million employing over 1,150 people. Administrative Services provides physical plant maintenance, energy generation and utilities distribution and environment, laboratory and workplace safety. • Consolidating multiple Kronos timekeeping systems into enterprise-wide Kronos timekeeping system. Moving over 5,000 employees with score of timekeeping profiles into single Kronos platform. Establishing interface for centralized Kronos to PeopleSoft/Oracle HR system. • Implementing new Maximo Maintenance system for Campus Housing to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the maintenance and operations of the dorms and off-campus apartments. Re-engineering the business process flows to eliminate waste and take advantage of software capabilities.• Developing and implementing new utilities billing system as a Cold Fusion application, using Oracle as a database, making it more dependable and expandable. • Rolling-out new generation of mobile workforce technology, including new cell phones and mobile applications. The new mobile technologies are used to track work orders, to issue stock from the warehouse, support job costing and in some cases to provide phone, text and push-to-talk capabilities. • Developing and deploying campus maps using geographic information system (GIS) from ESRI. Enhancing map information using geo-referenced data on all buildings and infrastructure and integrating with the space inventory system. Providing planning and management data on all facilities owned or occupied by UCLA programs, including off-campus leased space. • Programming mobile applications for the UCLA community. Mobile map to navigate the campus and provide community information. UCLA Services application to report service needs, to request trouble call requests and to track those requests through completion.
