    Started working part time January, 1965 in ad specialties selling as a salesman for an Austin, TX distributor name of company was Alert Advertising Company. Mr. Carl Schultz was a kind and generous man. I was working full time for American National Bank in Austin , TX a Head Commercial teller handling all business deposit and change orders from grocery chain. Anyway, I noticed a salesman selling 500 Ritepoint pens with our company bank name and logo. I knew we had over 50,000 accounts. I went to the public relations director of our bank Douglas Nichols. Hello Doug, you need to order about 5,000 pens @ .29 cents each. $1,450.00p-lus sales tax and shipping charges. Douglas said too many! I said how about 2,500 pens now and six months later balance of 2,500 pens? He signed the contract anyway I made more money then I made working for the bank. I later after two years decide to become a distributor. It is harder then I thought. I earn all my salt lick hair or salt and pepper, Ha! It will soon be 50 years in ad specialties, business gifts, calendars with your business name showing your appreciation for business over a 1,000 products for business openings, anniversary, awards and recognitions, membership programs, trade shows, safety programs , health programs, alert advertising for your budget
