    I was an advanced rapier operator, signaller and driver in the Royal Artillery (12 Regt)during this time I completed two tours of active service in Northern Ireland 1977 and 1979/80 also Falklands Conflict 3rd April 1982 to 13th August 1982 (first British Army Rapier air defence equipment to shoot down enemy aircraft) spent 6 years based in West Germany B.A.O.R(Dortmund 1975 to 1981).
