While at Bechtel Corporation, in Gaithersburg, Maryland, the assignments had been many and varied in experience and responsibilities. - While posted in India, from May 1994 to Aug. 1995, on a power project being designed and constructed by Bechtel, was responsible for obtaining various government permits/clearances, meeting with appropriate government officials to discuss their requirements, and arranging to furnish the necessary documents and fees required and continuous follow-up for the various permits required, and for general liaison between client and various design offices in USA and UK.- Worked on different fossil fuel projects as senior engineer responsible for design of various mechanical systems (HVAC, fire protection, cooling water, feed water and condensate, etc.), piping and instrument diagrams, system descriptions including design calculations, preparation of equipment specifications, bid evaluations. - Q.A. Manager Audits, On a rotational assignment to the Quality Assurance Department, was responsible for supervising several Q.A. Engineers and scheduling, organizing and conducting the Q.A. Management audits of the Engineering, Construction, and Procurement Departments to assure compliance to quality standards in the design and construction of Nuclear Power Plants. Was responsible for preparing and issuing Audit Reports. - Mechanical Engineering Supervisor, on several different Nuclear Power Projects within the office and overseas (Spain), was responsible for supervising and overseeing, a group of as many as 22 Engineers, in the design of mechanical systems for Nuclear Power Stations. - Project Contracts/Purchase Supervisor, Responsible for the preparation of Tender Documents, Tender evaluations and recommendations for award of Mechanical Contracts Package, Contract Administration of awarded contracts.
