My duties entailed working in a food environment, operation/ feeding and sorting biscuits, changing the packaging rolls for various department store, ensuring the correct day/time and shit codes (this is known as the best before date), fixing the machine if it broke down, assembling boxes and tins for the production, my main job was working as a stand in Team Leader 'when required' (I covered for sickness, holiday, training and when running extra line/shifts.Running the production line I was in charge of 13 factory workers, recording the hourly quality control checks - checking the texture and the appearance of the product, day/night shift codes, checking bar scanning on packets and cases, recording the hourly number of products generally making sure everything is correct to the spec, keeping the lines running to the target given and making sure that the factory floor was hazard free and clean and tidy.During my employment with Northumbrian Fine Foods Plc I passed a basic food and Hygiene course, manual handling techniques and basic health and safety course.I started working with Northumbrian Fine Foods through ABC Contractors and was given a full time permanent contract.
