    I have worked to devise and implement strategy accross the environmental, public health and development sectors for more than 30 years. I have devised more than 20 innovative projects to address inequalities and poverty and build stronger communities:I managed a project, working with 23 European countries / regions to create an international database of Health Promotion Policy and Infrastructure.I have raised more than £7 million for charities and NGOs, at the same time, building organisational capacity to develop robust projects and proposals.I synthesised and edited “Learning from Families” a policy document assessing the impact of family support programmes and policies in combating social exclusion for a team of experts from Greece, UK, Hungary and Ireland.I devised a project that created a policy assessment tool to benchmark the mainstreaming of disability issues for the European Commission.My portfolio of clients incudes the Renewable Energy Association, the Heat Trust, The Green Deal, Careershifters, Super Slow Way, Leonard Cheshire Disability, Sense International, Home-Start International, the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, the University of Bergen, the University of Liverpool, the University of Westminster, the Faculty of Public Health Medicine.I have also carried out hundred's of compliance audits and due diligence checks for the Renewable Energy Association and I was a compliance auditor for the UK Government’s Green Deal. Recently, I worked with the Heat Trust to pilot a new auditing process and develop their monitoring tools.     I was director of Phillips Robinson and Associates, a consultancy based in Windhoek, Namibia, working internationally. It specialised in the provision of project and programme management, high-level policy advice and input on strategic issues concerning the social development and environmental sectors world-wide. It developed a particular expertise in transboundary waters (http://www.unwater.org/downloads/TWO_report.pdf).Amongst PRAs projects were:1999–2010: Provision of key advice to the Palestinian authorities through the Negotiations Support Unit/NAD on the development of the Palestinian position relating to environment, water, and elements in the agricultural sector for the permanent status negotiations with Israel.2008-2009: Consulting on a major project identifying environmental liabilities connected to a former textile factory operating in Windhoek, and potential impacts on human health.2008-2009: Co-leading studies on the Nile River basin to identify preferred development options through the use of the TWO Analysis (as referenced above).2006-2008: Leading a project reviewing the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) procedures in South Africa, as these relate to State-owned Enterprises. Particular emphasis on the electricity/ energy and transportation sectors.2006: Provision of advice to the Kenyan Government on the rationalisation of Business Licensing requirements pertaining to the environmental sector, water, and related sectors.

    I developed and managed a programme with over sixty community projects in eleven European Countries, including raising funding from the European Commission and corporate sponsors. I implemented a major international review of the evidence for health promotion for older people, resulting in "Proven Strategies to Improve Older People's Health", the policy guidelines for National Governments and EU institutions.I coordinated the establishment of an EU Expert Group guiding future EU policy in the field of Healthy Ageing.I set up an international workshop to devise an implementation strategy for a European Action Plan for Healthy Ageing.I designed and managed Ageing Well in the Czech Republic: a two-year programme to establish health promotion for people beyond retirement age in the Czech Republic.
