    • I was responsible for leading 10 Epic Certified Principal Trainers/Informatics Analysts in providing high quality education and performance improvement resources to new and existing employees of Valley Health.• While managing the stability of Epic project work efforts, I was responsible to manage all Epic training for 6 core hospitals and several medical facilities throughout West Virginia and the Northern Virginia region.• Based in Winchester, Virginia, Valley Health brings together over 600 licensed inpatient beds, 166 long-term care beds, and over 5,300 clinical employees. • I effectively coached the training team through the 2017 Upgrade while onboarding two new employees. I facilitated the hiring and onboarding process and identified needs/resources, defined roles and responsibilities, and arranged assignments of key project participants. I was solely responsible for managing the MST Training environment build while also building the OpTime and Anesthesia modules. The go-live was very successful and the only critical error was due to a printing issue unrelated to training. • I established and maintained positive working relationships with my team, the development team, and operational committees such as the Nursing Practice Council, Blood Administration Process improvement, Risk Management, while I actively engaged and managed over 245 Super Users with a quarterly held Super User Workshop. • I utilized Lean methodology and data from Epic reports to work with operational leaders and several committees to collaborate and contribute to the growth and profitability of Valley Health. I was able to improve patient safety and satisfaction through leading significant workflow improvement projects such as the OR Scheduling project, Surgeon Pre-operative Order Entry, Specimen Collection update, and Standardization of Nursing notes.

    • In this position, I had the opportunity to build the MST training environment for OpTime/Anesthesia for the 2014 and 2017 upgrades. I obtained a broad knowledge of application integration and data courier processes, as well as extensive experience in the on-site installation and support of the clinical components of the Epic System and supported all end-users.• I focused improvement efforts through cross application collaboration, organizational collaboration with stakeholders, Epic Nova Note review, identifying the needs of the end user, identifying and planning optimal training delivery methods for conveying objectives, and preparing/building the training environment for the identified delivery methods.• I worked very closely with end-users as I put a major focus on Customer Service and Support. It is a value of the training team to be actively engaging our customers, encouraging feedback, and ideas for continuous improvement while I consistently promoted patient safety via accurate and efficient documentation.• I was solely responsible for training all Valley Health Surgical Service employees on the OpTime and Anesthesia modules of the EpicCare product. This included preparing curriculum, training material development, ensuring new hire Epic proficiency, material development for Epic updates, running and building operational reports, workflow documentation using Visio, and continued support for end-users. • I Credentialed in Orders, ASAP, Reporting Workbench, and other clinical applications to provide back-up training for other members on the team.
