    Supervision of construction activities by the Daewoo E&C company, which was awarded the design and build contract for the Al Faw Grand Port. The construction process includes the dredging of an access channel to the Port as well as Port Basin dredging by various CSD & TSHD equipment.

    I am a member of the Consulting Engineering Company, overlooking the construction progress and monitoring the production of the developing Al Faw Grand Port project. The multi-billion dollar project has been awarded as the World's longest two breakwaters and has officially been recorded in the Guinness Book World Records of 2020. The project consists of multiple construction phases due to the shear size of the master plan, developped by the Italian company Technital S.p.A. I have been very fortunate to have been employed since the first "ground breaking" during which the Greek Construction group - Archirodon, initiated the first monumental breakwater construction known as Phase 1 of the Al Faw Grand Port. Technital was employed by the Iraqi Government to serve as the Supervisory Consultant Engineering firm, responsible for managing the design and development of the Grand Port of Al Faw.

    Duties included but are not limited to:• Supervising & monitoring activities of the Contractor for the Construction of the Rock Armour Breakwater, Piling and associated activities for staging pier & dredging.• Assisting the Senior Marine Inspector & Senior Resident Engineer in the management in line with FIDIC (Yellow Book) through the compiling of reports on progress, quantity & quality of the Marine Activities.• Coordinating with Team Surveyors to monitor the breakwater’s construction progress• Coordinating with the Geotechnical Engineer to monitor the materials to be used & the geo-technical aspects of the breakwater design & construction.• Assessing the daily activities of the Contractor on site by reviewing daily returns.• With the Office Manager maintaining all relevant documents in good order in accordance with Project Quality Control Plan.• Aiding the Senior Surveyor in managing the Surveying duties & requirements of the project. • When the Senior Surveyor or Senior Marine Inspector is on rotation to cover the duties of the Senior Surveyor on the Project• Supervision, monitoring & assessment of required surveys including Dredging surveys, Topographical surveys, aerial surveys, Bathymetric surveys in terms of methods & findings.• Carrying out topographical & bathymetric surveys independent of Contractor’s Surveys.• From survey results interpolating quantities, production & other resulting information• To follow the instructions laid down by the ERW Advisor, Security Company & SRE in terms of safe, secure work practices in the Camp, on the Site or in any duties relating to the Project • Assessment and reporting on safety related issues inline with the HS&E plan for the project
