I served the greater Charleston area with providing the best mortgage lending service in a local bank setting. Decisions were made locally, so if your loan could not be approved on the Fannie / Freddie level, there was still an opportunity for you to walk out the door with the loan through the local bank. There were countless times where we saved deals that no other broker or bank in town could handle, and they were happy to send to CresCom, and we were happy to help the client and the lender get the deal done!

Worked with the area’s finest commercial lending team to support a safe, sound and strong community bank during one of the toughest decades the banking industry has ever experienced. CresCom Bank is the combination of two sister banks, Crescent Bank in Myrtle Beach, SC and Community FirstBank in Charleston, SC. The combination, although thought by many outsiders to have been the purchase of one bank by another, was nothing more than an effort by senior management to simplify accounting as well as capital measures that are more closely governed by today’s regulating agencies. CresCom Bank is thriving now more than ever, with THE best "Return" statistics in the Southeast as well as a top-10 mark in the country. During my first seven years in the banking industry, I studied under some of the best commercial lenders in the marketplace, including 2-years as a commercial credit analyst, followed by 2-years in problem asset management, and the last 3-years as a hybrid consumer / commercial lender with a $5MM consumer portfolio and $20MM commercial loan portfolio. Also during that time, I earned my graduate degree in banking from the Graduate School of Banking at LSU in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The combination of the varied tasks I performed along with the extensive education that I have received have enabled me to fully understand the banking industry from several different perspectives.
