    The company expansion plan in Brazil was strong and it was demanding for the expertise in business management and plant build management which I have, for a sequence of investments in South America. I was offered to lead the expansion by rejoining the corporate team in the Engineering Management. Along this period one modern new plant was totally designed and build followed the installment of one new business unit which resulted in two new facilities, one in Betim-MG and one in Capivari -SP. Along the time several technical upgrades and retrofits were implemented in all the foam plants in the region.

    A new position was open in the organization in 1999, and I conduct the action for all South America company locations at Manufacturing Engineering, taking the responsibilities of Maintenance, Plant Building, Technological Upgrading and New Business Support. I spent 7 months at company headquarters getting training about all Engineering Department divisions. During the period 2 new plants were built under my responsibilities covering from design to start up. Upgrades in all existing plants were made under my management, in order to support company market strategic objectives. I have moved from this position to Plant Manager Position in the plant of Caxias do Sul which was built while responsible for plant building, also for all plant team hiring and start up.

    Responsible for Project management, Maintenance and plant technological upgrade. During first year I have accumulated the managing of Quality and tooling areas. The management teams were still under organization and these two additional jobs were under my management. During all the period, a complete rebuilt of the plant was made in order to support market share growing sales to FIAT, that escalated from 500 cars per day to the current level of 3,100 cars per day.
