Implemented internationally recognized airport best practices, which directly resulted in the airport garnering the prestigious award of “Best Airport in Latin America" for the year 2005.• Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the Airport Cargo facilities, to include Airline belly cargo import and export operations. I also developed a working relationship with Chilean Customs Agencies, directly leading to new and improved security protocols, which greatly reduced cargo pilferage.• Key executive member of the consortium negotiating team that worked closely with Chilean Ministry officials in re-negotiating the long-term concessions contract. Successfully extended the concessions contract, which allowed for increased investments by our partners.• Successfully opened lines of continuous communications between the consortium and the stateaviation agencies (DGAC) responsible for the oversight of airport operations at SCL. The results were immediate and lasting improvements in airport security, airside operations, and customer service.
